Bookkeeper/Management Accountant Part-time

Our client, family-owned business based in Lymm is looking for a Bookkeeper/Management Accountant to join their office on a part time basis.

Successful candidate will be working 20 to 25 office a week.

Please note that for this role you must be based in commutable distance to Lymm as you are required to be in the office at least once a week. There is a flexibility on other days, you can either work from home or office.

The salary is £39,000 per annum pro rata the hours.

The role:

  • Full maintenance of accounting records using Sage accounting software including general ledger, sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank (currencies) and VAT
  • Preparing weekly supplier payment schedules for director approval
  • Admin support with inwards shipping documents, delivery notes, stock control, invoice fling
  • Reconciliation of sales ledger invoice discounting records including submission of reports to bank
  • Preparation of sales and performance reports to management, monthly management accounts and liaising with external accountants on a quarterly basis and at financial year end
  • Preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts including monitoring of actual vs forecast and gross margin review.

Requirements:

  • Previous Bookkeeper/Management Accountant experience
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Experience using Sage and Xero accounting software
  • Attention to detail and numeracy skills
  • Strong knowledge of month end processes, budgeting and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage a varied workload
