Our client, a market-leading Wireless Broadband provider, is currently recruiting for a Field Based Electrician to join their Installations team. The Field Based Electrician will be responsible for carrying out site visits, producing cost-effective electrical designs, associated BOMs and fully compliant installations. (Locations are typically in a Rural environment and site types consist of Residential, Commercial, Streetlights, Farm Buildings, Telegraph Poles and 3rd Party infrastructure.)
This is a field-based role and the Field-Based Electrician will be responsible for covering the Bristol and Swindon area.
Responsibilities for the Field-based Electrician
- Completion of site surveys (electrical) and submission of design report, BOM and costings to Delivery Managers
- Carry out new installations and additions to existing installations ensuring all installation work (AC and DC) is compliant to BS7671.
- Completion of inspection and testing of new and existing installations; producing test results and understanding the relevance to the regs.
Key Skills & Experience for the Field-Based Electrician
Essential
- Good working knowledge of electrical power systems; electrical distribution items; and protection design at the required voltages
- SVQ / NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (3 years)
- City & Guilds 18th edition
- Inspection & Testing 2391-52 or equivalent
- ECS Gold Card holder (preferable)
- Full UK Driving License
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
