Quality Manager

Quality Manager Role

The ideal candidate will focus on reducing defects, cutting costs, and shortening lead times through technological advancements. You will play a vital role in improving our on-time delivery and reducing quality issues, ensuring our quality systems are efficient and align with business goals.

Quality Manager Responsibilities:

  • Redevelop and maintain a robust QMS 9001 system with regular internal audits.
  • Develop quality procedures with operational staff.
  • Ensure document control and updates.
  • Collaborate with production managers to solve quality issues.
  • Understand customer needs to develop effective quality control processes.
  • Implement production process improvements to enhance product quality.
  • Use problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Monitor performance with KPIs and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Focus on reducing non-conformances and scrap rates.
  • Provide training and tools to meet quality standards.
  • Maintain weekly and monthly status reports.
  • Support the inspection team and maintain inspection and quarantine records

Quality Manager Essentials

  • Degree or advanced apprenticeship in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in welding, fabrication, or sheet metal.
  • Senior quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth understanding of quality control procedures and industry standards.
  • Proven track record of project delivery, cost management, and quality assurance.
  • Experience in managing quality performance and customer improvement plans.
  • Experience with project delivery for key customers and managing customer experience
  • Experience in building and managing Quality Management Systems.
  • QMS auditing experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel to local customer sites.
