Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and Innovate:
- Spearhead the delivery of a top-tier lettings, allocations, and void management service.
- Ensure our services consistently meet organisational goals, vision, and statutory obligations.
2. Fair and Equitable Housing Allocation:
- Oversee the fair allocation of secure Council housing, nominations to Registered Providers, and mobility schemes.
- Provide comprehensive advice and information on the assessment of needs for sheltered and adapted housing.
3. Policy and Procedure Development:
- Develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures for allocations, voids, and lettings.
- Utilize business intelligence and transformation to enhance and streamline processes.
- Set and monitor performance targets to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
4. Budget Management:
- Take charge of budget management for the Allocations and Lettings Service.
- Forecast and monitor budgetary projections to ensure services are delivered within budget.
- Produce regular budget monitoring reports.
5. Leadership Support:
- Act as a deputy for the Head of Allocations & Lettings when necessary.
