Weighbridge Operator
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Operator to join a Leading Scrap Metal Recycler based in Aldershot.
Rota: Mon to Fri, 07:00 - 16:30 Shift, Sat 07:30 - 12:00 Shift; 47.5 hours/week
Pay: £13.20 per hour
Key responsibilities for this Weighbridge Operator role:
o Provide general administration support to the site manager
o Recording of site absence, holidays and ingoing and outgoing post activities
o Deal with incoming telephone enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
o Ensure the Company's weighbridge procedures are adhered to at all times
o Control site purchase order systems
o Co-ordinate with yard personnel to ensure the correct processing of all loads
o Liaison with customers, lorry drivers, contractors and any other visitors to the company who may call at the weighbridge
o Ensure compliance by all staff, contractors and visitors to the site with the Company Health and Safety Policy
o COTC cover for site and Hazard Waste control reporting
o Control purchases of consumables - PPE, stationary and office maintenance
o Check and maintain first aid boxes
o Check fire extinguishers
o Ensure site accounting records are kept accurate and up to date,
o Ensure that reporting requirements for the Head Office Accounts Department are met

Qualifications/Knowledge:
o Strong IT skills (MS Word, Excel etc.) and the ability to learn new processes
o Good numeracy and literacy skills essential
o Basic knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
