The Role
We are seeking a dedicated, ELSA-qualified Learning Support Assistant to support the school's SEND provision. This role focuses on delivering targeted emotional literacy interventions for primary-aged pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group emotional support sessions
  • Develop and implement personalised support plans in collaboration with the SENDCo and class teachers
  • Foster safe and trusting environments for children to express their emotions and build resilience
  • Act as a wellbeing advocate, working with families and outside agencies where necessary
  • Support whole-class learning when not delivering interventions, always championing inclusive practice

What We're Looking For
Essential:

  • ELSA qualification and experience delivering emotional literacy support
  • Experience in primary settings and working with SEMH needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Compassionate, resilient, and professional approach

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, or challenging behaviours
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches
