Are you an established, HR generalist looking for your next HR Business Partner role?

Are you looking to work for an organisation investing heavily in it's HR function?

I am currently supporting an education organisation with c2000 employees, as it begins it expands it's HR function and appoints 4 new heads into the structure! This is an organisation that are taking HR seriously, onto of the new headcount investment, they are also reviewing their benefits to offer things like online GP appointments and enhanced holiday!

My client is looking for strong operational HR Business Partners who have demonstrable experience interpreting a strategic people plan and delivering it into the workforce. This role will be fully generalist and supported by a HR Advisor to pick up the majority of the ER cases. It is however a new structure though, so requires someone who is comfortable navigating a period of change, and delivering on the BAU HR generalist activity within the workforce as they begin this journey. This will be working closely with people managers and senior stakeholders to support them on a variety of HR generalist activity, complex contractual changes, change management, upskilling people managers, delivering the wider people plan, supporting stakeholders through people challenges, and supporting stakeholders through this period of change. You will pick up the odd piece of complex ER casework but the majority of this will sit with the People Advisor.

This is an organisation that puts relationships first. They work hard at getting out into the business, building engagement and buy-in to any kind of change before launching change projects. It's vital the successful candidate shows a genuine interest and willingness to understand the organisations current ways of working and a desire to get out and be present at various schools in their cluster. This will be a range of primary, secondary and special schools across Nottingham. Most of which, have had significant investment recently and are very modern!

The organisation as a whole is fairly flexible, and happy to consider candidates looking for flexible start and finish times to navigate family or other commitments. However, due to their relationship first approach, they do need people who can commit to being onsite across their cluster at least 3 days per week.

So, what's the role?

  • Working and collaborating with the wider HR team on projects and change programmes
  • Build genuine relationships with people managers and senior stakeholders across your business unit
  • Leading on change management projects
  • Implementing the wider people strategy into your business areas
  • A strong focus on retention and engagement across the business
  • Creating and delivering localised people strategies
  • Coaching and mentoring key stakeholders
  • Line management of a HR Advisor to deliver on the operational and transactional day to day duties

So, if you're an established HR Manager/BP looking for a new challenge with a business that will evolve enormously over your time with them, please apply now!
