Senior Product Manager

On behalf of my client, I am recruiting for a Senior Product Management role based in Colchester.

Job Type: Full-time and hybrid working (3 days a week in the office)

Location: Colchester

Salary: provided on application

You will be responsible for globally leading and managing the Product Management and Channel strategy. As a Marketing Leader, you will play a pivotal role in positioning this company as a differentiated leader in the market. You will work with third parties to assess market needs, understand competition, and manage the product portfolio across its entire life cycle. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in product and channel management, digital tools, team leadership, market intelligence, and collaborative marketing efforts. A background in manufacturing/ engineering is essential.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Oversee the management of the complete product portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company's growth strategy.
  • Develop and execute a three-year product roadmap in collaboration with Sales and Engineering teams.
  • Create business cases for new product investments and ensure compliance with regulations and certifications.
  • Implement channel management programs to support Sales teams and maximize orders through indirect channels.
  • Manage and enhance digital platforms and tools to improve the customer experience.
  • Lead the Product Management team, providing training, development, and mentoring to achieve high performance.
  • Collaborate with R&D for new product development and Sales for the creation of sales enablement tools.
  • Conduct market research to identify marketing opportunities, understand customer requirements, and keep abreast of market trends.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to deliver educational webinars, organise promotional events, and support business development through effective content creation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in product management and channel management.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.

  • Excellent understanding of digital tools and platforms relevant to marketing and customer engagement.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments, including R&D and Sales.

  • Strong market intelligence skills, with experience in researching and analysing market trends.

  • Creative and strategic thinking with the ability to suggest and organise promotional events.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
