Facilities Engineer

Main Purpose of the Role

To maintain the general upkeep of the building and site. The Facilities engineer will be responsible for overall plant performance and ensure not only operational, but business critical functions will be maintained. The Facilities engineer will work closely with the Engineering Coordinator and a wide range of people due to the nature of their work. The working shift will be 5 from 7 with a flexible approach to meet business needs. To assist and carry out preventative maintenance and repair on the packhouse machinery when required.

Key Skills

Experience of Pneumatic process control circuits and compressed air systems with the ability to read schematic drawings

A minimum level of GCSE or NVQ level 2 with experience gained in a dynamic environment where response and equipment turnaround times are critical.

Mechanical transmissions and electrical drives and associated control gear.

Methodical fault diagnosis and root cause analysis.

Electrical experience

Refrigeration plant and control systems experience.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can keep pace with the business and think on their feet.

The hours you would work:

A variable shift pattern equating to 80 hours per 2-week period, including weekend work.

This is a days based role, hours are normally 07.00 > 16.00 or 08.00 > 17.00. (We are able to offer some flexibility on this)

The role is a 5 from 7 pattern meaning that alternate weekends are required.

Up to £33,000 plus overtime rate is T + ¼, the basic rate is around £33k per annum + OT
