Management Accountant
- Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC)

- Availability: Immediate start required within the next 2 weeks
We are urgently seeking a Management Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover a sabbatical leave. This role is based in Canterbury and requires an individual who is immediately available to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the FMCG industry and be ready to take on the challenge of stepping into the role at short notice.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to assist with strategic decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company financial goals.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management.
- Assist with the development and review of internal financial controls and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
- Must be immediately available to start within the next 2 weeks.
- Experience in the FMCG industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Relevant accounting qualifications (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) are desirable.
