Senior Receptionist

Permanent, Part Time (24 hours per week, rota over a 7 day period)

About the role

The reception team and service is central to residents at Hartfields. The role of the team is to be the first point of contact for all residents and visitors and to provide a welcoming environment for all.

We are now seeking a Senior Receptionist to manage and lead the delivery of a full, on-site reception service. You will manage a small team of receptionists and night porters through one-to-one supervisions and team meetings, carry out reception duties and be responsible for continuously reviewing the reception service for improvements, increasing performance standards and focusing on value for money.

Reporting to the Neighbourhood Manager, you will deliver a range of services effectively and efficiently to residents and other department services. You will capture and escalate operational complaints to the appropriate department, provide administrative support to the management team, facilitate room bookings and other reception duties. The team is also key in maintaining the security of the site.

A DBS check is required for this role.

About you

We'd like you to...

  • Have experience of managing a team in a similar environment
  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of service improvement and the skills to be able to regularly review the reception service to ensure it runs as effectively as possible
  • Have the flexibility to support needs of all the team who work a variety of different shift patterns
  • Have experience of using computer systems, including Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Be able to prioritise conflicting work demands
  • Be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, adapting approaches if needed
  • Work well as part of team and independently
  • Have a basic understanding of Health and Safety
