Cleaning Operative

About The Role
You will be working Monday to Friday, 17:30 to 21:30, 20 hours per day, on a permanent, part-time.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:

To carry out general cleaning tasks as detailed on the cleaning schedule, to agreed standard, as directed by the Supervisor.

To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health and Safety, and personal hygiene.

General Tasks may include.

  • Emptying, cleaning waste bins/recycling areas
  • Attending to ad hoc duties as directed by the site Supervisor
  • Communal area cleaning
  • Lift and Stair cleaning
  • Cleaning of meeting rooms
  • Cleaning of tea points
  • Cleaning of washrooms
  • Vacuum soft surface spot cleaning
  • Damp cleaning of trained surfaces
  • High- and low-level cleaning
  • Fixtures and fittings throughout including but not limited to, radiators, handles, kitchen fittings, kitchen equipment, sanitary fitments, desks, tables, chairs, fire extinguishers, door frames, tiles, walls, blinds, wall pictures.
  • Cleaning after every use of cleaning equipment
  • Daily reporting of any equipment breakdowns.
  • To follow work plan.
  • Tasks as directed by OCS Supervisor or Manager
  • To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times and equipment is kept clean and in good working order. Report faulty machinery / equipment immediately.
  • To promote excellence by ensuring company provided uniform is kept clean and tidy and is worn at all times while at work. Always wear security access badge.
  • To use every effort to develop and maintain effective working relationships with our clients and OCS colleagues.
  • To attend training as required by the site Supervisor.
  • Report all accidents and dangerous occurrences to the site Supervisor.
  • To assist with other cleaning issues as directed by the site Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Education to at least National Level 1 e.g. GCSEs grades D-G
  • Cleaning experience is preferred but full training will be provided if necessary
  • To be reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Drivers Licence required
  • Flexible Working
