As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with PMLD, helping them to thrive in a tailored and supportive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised, one-on-one support to students with PMLD, helping create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with personal care and mobility to ensure students' comfort and well-being throughout the school day.
- Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to implement individualised learning plans.
- Build positive relationships with students, encouraging their independence, confidence, and personal growth.
About You:
- Previous experience working with students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
- A deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by these students.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a meaningful impact on students' educational experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals in a supportive team environment.
Requirements:
- Available Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
- Right to work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (if you do not have one, we can assist you in obtaining one; the cost is £46, and we will reimburse the fee once you've completed 20 working days with us).
