I am delighted to be partnering with an award-winning organisation based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds seeking to recruit a Payroll and Benefits Advisor in a key role to provide payroll and benefits advice whilst maintaining excellent customer service with a proactive approach that complies with legal requirements and company procedures.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Work within the payroll team to collate, prepare, and input data, for multiple monthly payrolls using the companies HR and Payroll software systems.
- Process end-to-end payrolls accurately and according to deadlines. Routinely including starters, leavers, maternity, paternity, sickness, overtime, Attachment of Earnings, pensions, and company vehicles.
- Administer flexible benefits such as childcare vouchers, holiday purchase, technology vouchers, bikes for work, private medical insurance, and car loans.
- Manage the maternity, paternity, and adoption process, including 1-1 meetings with employees ensuring the service is compliant and meets required SLA's.
- Ensure pension contributions are uploaded accurately and paid to pension providers on time.
- Work with the internal stakeholders to advise and quality check work delivered relating to leaver letters, absence, and overtime.
- Build strong working relationships and be the point of contact for any queries, using your expertise to advise, and if needed signpost to relevant external support.
- Take ownership of maintaining and staying abreast of changes to employment and payroll legislation, ensuring the advice given to employees is current and correct.
- Proficient in software configuration and continually look to identify process improvements to enable the team to work as efficient as possible.
The successful candidate will be CIPP Level 3 - 5 qualified with previous experience of working on end-to-end payrolls and a good working knowledge of UK payroll legislation including, PAYE, national insurance, statutory payments, and company pension schemes.
