Planning Officer
to join our
Area Planning Team
- In this hybrid role, you'll have the flexibility to work from home and the office, while also conducting onsite visits across the borough.
What You'll Do:
- Manage Planning Applications: Review, process, and assess planning applications in line with local and national guidelines.
- Conduct Site Visits: Evaluate planning proposals firsthand and engage with stakeholders such as developers and residents.
- Provide Expert Advice: Offer professional planning guidance to internal teams, external clients, and decision-makers.
- Prepare Reports: Compile clear, concise reports and make recommendations on planning matters.
- Contribute to Sustainable Growth: Ensure all decisions align with Harrow Council's vision for long-term, sustainable development.
What You'll Need:
- RTPI-accredited degree (evidence required)
- Valid driving licence (DVLA check required)
- Experience in planning, development control, or a related field is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to drive a council vehicle for site visits
