We've teamed up with a private care company who are looking for an experienced Registered Home Manager for their Children's Residential Home based in Ribchester.

The company provides high quality residential care and education for children and young people with mental health conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties and complex needs associated with challenging behaviour.

Location: Ribchester**, PR3.**

Contract: Permanent.

Pay Rate: Starting from £60k per annum+ £5,000 Performance Bonus.

Job Summary:

The Home Manager will lead and manage the care team, ensuring the highest standards of residential care are delivered to children and young people.

This role requires a compassionate and dedicated leader who can effectively manage care practices, support staff development, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Job Description:

  • Lead and manage the residential care team, providing supervision, support, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets the individual needs of each child and young person.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the education team and external professionals.
  • Monitor and evaluate care practices, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes the well-being and development of all residents.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and retention of care staff.
  • Work closely with families, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for each child.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualification in social care, child care, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care).
  • Significant experience in a leadership role within a residential care setting for children and young people.
  • Strong understanding of mental health conditions, including Autism and Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties.
  • Proven ability to manage complex and challenging behaviour.
