An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced Legal Secretary to join a highly reputable private client team. The role involves providing secretarial and administrative support to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients. The successful candidate will be confident, proactive, and have proven experience in all aspects of Private Client Law.

Day to day of the role:

  • Manage diaries and schedule appointments for the principal.
  • Onboard new clients, including carrying out relevant checks.
  • Handle the opening, closing, and archiving of client files.
  • Perform audio typing and dictation tasks.
  • Produce legal documents, including wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
  • Undertake general secretarial and administrative duties.
  • Answer telephone calls and liaise with clients and third parties.
  • Manage financial matters, such as requesting funds, preparing estate accounts, and completing posting slips for payments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A strong academic record.
  • Excellent typing skills.
  • Previous experience within the legal profession, particularly in Private Client Law.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software.
