Contracts Expert - Facilities

As the GB Retail Facilities Contracts expert, you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating the contracts for all GB Retail facilities and structured solutions including any contractual addendums. You will assist with the management of the facility renewal processes and will be required to support with the annual governance submission for each proposition. You will own and control the GB Retail Facility contract templates library and will be required to ensure templates are updated to reflect the current WTW contract requirements and maintaining version control. You will liaise with WTW's Legal Team to obtain their input in the drafting and negotiating of the contracts and templates as needed.

Please note we are flexible as to where in the UK this role can be based.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for the drafting of all GB Retail facility and structured solution contracts including addenda and will be required to ensure contract drafts include all WTW contract requirements
  • You will be responsible for contract negotiations with Insurers and will support the GB Retail Facilities Broking team to ensure each contract fulfils the demands and needs of the business.
  • You will control and maintain a GB Retail contract template library and will be required to enhance templates with future developments, working closely with the WTW legal team.
  • To engage with internal stakeholders, including WTW's Legal Team, to obtain all the necessary approvals required to execute contracts with the GB Retail Managing Director.
  • Contribute to forthcoming tenders.
  • Look for opportunities to enhance the facility propositions.

The Requirements

Law degree and ideally LPC, with a desire to pursue a career in the insurance sector. Former paralegal or insurance sector experience is not a pre-requisite but would be helpful. The successful candidate will be numerate with good IT skills and have a willingness to negotiate facility contracts and support the GB Retail Facilities Broking team.

  • Be highly organised with an ability to work and prioritise systematically and methodically, monitoring and managing multiple tasks to successfully meet conflicting deadlines;
  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Be proactive and happy to take responsibility for your work;
  • Be flexible, adaptable and a good team player with excellent people skills;
  • Be confident in dealing with people at all levels of seniority;
  • Be comfortable following Willis Towers Watson's systems and processes;
  • Demonstrate sound judgement to be able to recognise when it is appropriate to push back on commercial issues and escalate legal issues.
