Job Opportunity: Multi-Skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias
Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off (7am-6pm / 12pm-11pm)
Salary: £38,000 - £41,400

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join a dynamic site team at the Hitachi Rail Bounds Green Depot. In this role, you will provide essential maintenance services, covering electrical, mechanical, and building fabric disciplines to ensure smooth operation across our client's premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver both reactive and proactive maintenance services for all operational equipment and assets.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical plant maintenance, repairs, modifications, and installations.
  • Calibrate equipment to ensure optimal reliability and performance.
  • Ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met by responding to tasks within Service Level Agreements (SLA) and prioritizing reactive tasks.
  • Liaise with contractors and external suppliers, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Complete all work in a safe and diligent manner, following Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Operate PDA systems efficiently and ensure a high level of task management.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively with a wider site team to meet operational goals.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 with 18th Edition qualification in Electrical Engineering Maintenance.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of building facilities maintenance and statutory compliance.
  • Experience: Proven track record in electrical and mechanical plant maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), with the ability to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Familiar with PDA functionality for managing tasks.
  • A self-motivated, solution-focused individual who can work autonomously and within a team.

Requirements:

  • Basic DBS security clearance (pre-employment).
  • Flexibility to work a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, with varying hours (7am-6pm / 12pm-11pm).
