About: The school is a vibrant and inclusive primary school committed to providing high-quality education and support for all students. The school as seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to work with them for 5 mornings each week. The role will involve working on a 121 basis with several students within school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students on a 121 basis (on a timetable basis working with different students for short sessions).
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Support students in developing social skills, self-confidence, and independence.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and achievements.
  • Attend relevant training and professional development sessions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs are advantageous.
