Part-time Teaching Assistant - 5 mornings

About: The school is a vibrant and inclusive primary school committed to providing high-quality education and support for all students. The school as seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to work with them for 5 mornings each week. The role will involve working on a 121 basis with several students within school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students on a 121 basis (on a timetable basis working with different students for short sessions).
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
- Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
- Support students in developing social skills, self-confidence, and independence.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and achievements.
- Attend relevant training and professional development sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs are advantageous.
