Credit Controller

We are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join our team and contribute to the company's success and future growth. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the financial health of the business by managing and collecting unpaid debts.

Day to Day of the role:
Collect outstanding debts via telephone and email, ensuring timely payments and reducing company arrears.
Evaluate new credit requests, approving or denying orders based on established credit limits and terms.
Handle customer queries, including obtaining remittances, proof of deliveries, and sending copy invoices/credit notes.
Establish and maintain regular communication with customers to notify them of upcoming or outstanding invoices and facilitate regular payments.
Take card payments over the phone, providing a seamless payment experience for customers.
Work closely with different areas of the company, fostering a collaborative environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 year in a Credit Control position or part-qualified AAT/ACCA/CICM.
Experience with CMR/ERP systems.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both colleagues and customers.
A positive and proactive team player, willing to support colleagues.
Confident telephone manner and high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Efficient in planning and prioritizing tasks and workload.
Initiative-driven with a continuous development mindset.
Proficient in Excel and good numeracy skills.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Good judgment, strong intuition, and a diligent, responsible work ethic.
