We are currently seeking to fill a role within the Corporate Finance team between Executive and Assistant Manager level who will report to the Associate Director and Director to join our Corporate Finance Team in our Midlands' offices, based in Birmingham and Oldbury.

The role will be broad and varied as the candidate will assist in the execution of Corporate Finance engagements across both Transaction Support and M&A Lead Advisory:

Transaction Support

Preparation of Financial Due Diligence reports in respect of:

  • Corporate acquisitions
  • Private equity acquisitions
  • Bank pre-lending reviews

To include:

  • Liaising with clients, target businesses, funders, and intermediaries during execution of transactions
  • Liaising with other departments (e.g. tax) throughout the transaction
  • Preparation of detailed datebooks
  • Report writing.

M&A Lead Advisory

  • Preparation of Information Memoranda and other related documents)
  • M&A analysis (e.g. identification of potential acquisition targets or buyers)
  • Researching, preparing and supporting presentations/sales pitches for new business
  • Liaising with clients, funders and intermediaries during execution of transactions
  • Relationship building with local intermediary market (banks, lawyers etc)

The candidate is likely to have an accounting / bookkeeping and / or audit background and whilst some Transaction Services or Corporate Finance experience would be helpful it is not essential. The candidate must however have a strong interest in, and enthusiasm for Corporate Finance and be a genuine team player. They need to be commercially minded, display high levels of accuracy and diligence in their work and be competent in Excel. The job is likely to suit a self-starter with energy to work to tight deadlines.

We require an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The position will be client facing and therefore the successful candidates will need to be confident and professional. Due to the location of our clients the candidate must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car.
