Legal graduate / Legal Assistant

£25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience

Maidenhead (hybrid)

Working hours Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm

We are working with a leading law firm who are recruiting for a Legal Graduate to join their Conveyancing team.

This would suit a law graduate who has not yet completed their LPC or SQE.

Key duties include:

  • Setting up new file
  • Drafting legal documents
  • Attending to clients over the phone and in person, recording messages
  • Assist with the processing of remortgages and transfers of equity, supported by the relevant lawyer
  • Dealing with emails and scanning and copying documents
  • Making appointments, arranging meetings and maintaining the diary
  • Provide support for other team members
  • Assist with archiving, housekeeping and billing
  • Work through the firm's case management system, preparing documents, mortgage deeds, land registry searches.
  • Prepare financial statements prior to completion
  • Ensure completions take place on the prescribed day and liaise with clients on keys and possessions
