Are you a passionate science educator with a heart for special needs education? We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Headteacher with a strong background in teaching science to join our dedicated team.
Position Overview:This role is ideal for an experienced science teacher / existing Assistant Headteacher who is ready to step into a leadership position while continuing to inspire students through innovative science teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Science Curriculum Leadership:
- Develop and oversee a dynamic and inclusive science curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our students.
- Innovative Teaching:
Deliver engaging and effective science lessons, utilising creative teaching methods to make science accessible and exciting for all students.
- Student Engagement:
Foster a love for science in students, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking through hands-on experiments and interactive learning.
- Professional Development:
Support and mentor fellow teachers in the delivery of the science curriculum, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Leadership and Management:
Assist the Headteacher in the overall management of the school, contributing to strategic planning and policy implementation.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience:
Proven experience of teaching science. Leadership experience is a plus.
- Skills:
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. The ability to inspire and lead both students and staff.
- Passion:
A deep commitment to working with students with special needs and a drive to make science education engaging and inclusive.
