**Payroll Clerk / HR Administrator
Reporting to: Finance Director
Location: Stockport
Overview:
Responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, HR administration, and system support, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & Pensions
- Process weekly/monthly payroll including starters, leavers, timesheets, and statutory submissions.
- Ensure accurate deductions and timely payments to HMRC, pension providers, and other bodies.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with GDPR.
- Support pension scheme administration and auto-enrolment.
Time & Attendance
- Manage and maintain the Time & Attendance system.
- Support staff and managers with queries and updates (holidays, sick pay, etc.).
- Ensure accurate time records and compliance with policies.
HR Administration
- Handle onboarding/offboarding, contracts, and employment documentation.
- Maintain HR records (holidays, sickness, lateness) and flag issues.
- Support policy reviews, job descriptions, and reporting processes.
- Ensure secure storage of confidential data.
Systems Support
- Assist with internal system queries and mobile app usage.
- Collaborate with finance team to implement and maintain HR systems.
