Risk & Insurance Manager

My Client is is one of the world's leading entertainment companies and they are seeking a Risk & Insurance Manager to join their dynamic team.

This role will be instrumental in enhancing their risk management processes and optimizing global insurance procurement for their group and local businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance:

  • Ensure comprehensive insurance coverage for all group activities.
  • Optimize insurance placements for effective coverage at economical costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all insurance placements and key terms.
  • Keep comprehensive records of all insurance notifications and claims.
  • Advise legal and commercial teams on insurance provisions and optimization options.
  • Act as the central point of contact for centralized insurance programs, including commercial negotiation and administrative workflows.
  • Support business stakeholders with local insurance placements.
  • Assist stakeholders with claims management in coordination with legal and finance teams.

Risk Management:

  • Maintain a corporate risk register with input from our risk committee.
  • Collate and categorize reported accidents, incidents, and occurrences.
  • Monitor and propose improvements for existing risk management processes, including training, oversight, documentation, and insurance.
  • Support the nominated Health and Safety person on matters related to global and regional holdings, including maintaining plans, documents, and implementing necessary training and reporting.
  • Coordinate with other risk and safety specialists within the group.

Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Extensive experience with insurance placements (client or broker side).
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Experience with "buy and build" businesses and systems integration.
  • Multinational experience, particularly in the Netherlands, Spain, UK, and Germany.
  • Claims management experience (client or broker side).
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Strong financial and budgeting skills.

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in additional languages (Spanish is particularly relevant).
  • Experience in the entertainment sector (strongly preferred).
  • Formal Health and Safety qualification.
  • Experience with ISO system implementation.

Success Milestones

First 3 Months:

  • Ensure all current local and group insurance placements are catalogued.
  • Review and document existing group risk management processes and develop an improvement work plan.

First 6 Months:

  • Update the risk register and draft a 3-year performance improvement roadmap.

First 12 Months:

  • Develop and begin implementing a global strategy for insurance placements.
