We are currently seeking an experienced FP&A Specialist with a focus on acquisitions to join our engineering company based in Gillingham. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong background in financial planning and analysis, particularly within the context of mergers and acquisitions.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support the company's acquisition strategy.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate potential acquisition targets and the impact on the company's financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for financial assessments.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis to senior management.
  • Lead the due diligence process for potential acquisitions.
  • Monitor post-acquisition integration and performance against financial projections.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape to inform acquisition strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in FP&A with a specialisation in acquisitions.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modelling and valuation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience in the engineering sector or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Relevant finance qualification (e.g., CFA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
