Job Description:

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with all relevant regulations set forth by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and other applicable regulatory bodies. The Compliance Officer will develop, implement, and oversee compliance policies and procedures to mitigate regulatory risks and ensure that the company's operations adhere to all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in line with FCA regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews and audits to assess the company's adherence to regulatory requirements and identify areas of improvement.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance matters, including regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update compliance policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Investigate and respond to compliance issues, breaches, and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to address compliance issues and implement solutions.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings to the FCA and other regulatory bodies as required.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in compliance to ensure the company remains compliant and up-to-date.
  • Act as the main point of contact for regulatory inspections, audits, and inquiries, and work closely with regulators as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of compliance activities, reports, and communications for audit and reference purposes.

Qualifications and Skills:

Dipfa or

  • Proven experience working in a compliance role within a financial services firm, preferably in an FCA-regulated environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations, regulatory requirements, and compliance best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and compliance management software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
