Assistant Accountant | £24,000 - £26,000 + AAT Study Support | Bolton | PE-backed business | Long-term progression
Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth PE-backed business in Bolton to recruit an Assistant Accountant who is hard-working, driven and keen to succeed. This is a highly sought-after role which is well suited to ambitious aspiring chartered accountant seeking long-term progression whilst working alongside their studies towards AAT.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Raising sales invoices and posting purchase invoices
- Processing supplier payments
- Assistance with the production of the monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Reporting actuals against budget with comments on variances
- Monthly transactional analysis
- Management of fixed asset schedule
- Prepayments and accruals
- Management of debtors and creditor ledger
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Frequent bank checks and informing operation team of cash receipts
- Assistance with reporting and resolving issues with the finance system to support team
- Working with auditors / providing them with information requests in a timely manner
- Ad-hoc reporting
Required Experience and Skills:
- Studying towards AAT
- Experience working within a finance team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational and time-keeping skills
- High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role
- Good IT and MS Excel skills
- Prior exposure to month-ends
