Sales Ledger Assistant

Our client is looking for an experienced Sales Ledger Assistant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing customer invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for accuracy.

Sales Ledger Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record customer invoices in the sales ledger in a timely and accurate manner
  • Understand Incoterms and basic customs clearance
  • Liaise with customers regarding invoice queries and disputes, and work to resolve any issues
  • Utilize rate schedules and tariffs in relation to the invoices
  • Have a basic knowledge of the Transport industry
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as required

The successful Sales Ledger Assistant will have the following skills and experience

  • Strong numerical and data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in using customs software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles

In return you can expect to receive a basic salary of between £24-26,000 depending on your previous skills and experience, its an office based role but with flexible working times 8-4pm, 8.30-4.30pm or 9-5pm, free parking.
