Prospero Teaching are looking for an understanding and supportive Outreach worker to start in an excellent school near Bury. As this is a role that is not always classroom based, it is essential that you are able to drive. The role is 1-1 based supporting pupils with SEMH issues. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with both pupils, staff and parents as well as experience supporting with children with SEMH issues.

POSITION DETAILS:

  • Position- Outreach Worker
  • Start Date- Jan 2025
  • Contract Type- Temporary
  • Minimum rate of pay- £90 per day
  • Hours- 8:15am-3:15pm
  • Location- Bury
  • Full time/part time- Full time only

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Strong understanding of child development.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
