I have just partnered up with a major player in the midlands, an established brand of 900 people, with 200 people dedicated to tech, alone!
Having launched a new product a few years back, we are now looking to grow the team with a Head of Architect who will be reporting directly to the CTO.
You will be part of a company building some serious products which is bringing in nearly £10billion of payments a year, so as you can imagine - you will be working in a fast-paced environment where people are passionate, ambitious and love building long-term relationships.
As a Head of Architect, you will be leading a team of 5 engineers who are working on a cloud-native application using microservices and event driven architecture. It's very important to have the technical background in scaling platforms, designing, developing and documenting solutions and being a huge people-person!
We are ideally seeking Head of architects who can create and share the tech roadmap, know what the business wants, design the whole tech system, and mentor and guide the architects!
You will be working with the stakeholders on the yearly tech plans, setting the rules for how it is built and following the protocols, and spotting tech problems and finding solutions. Experience with Java, Azure / AWS is key for this role.
