Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

An innovative environmental firm located in West Sussex is on the lookout for a Consultant Ecologist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a Consultant Ecologist to be part of a creative company where there's a big variety of projects on offer, along with proper support and training on-hand. The company offers services in Ecological Consulting, Landscape Design, Arboriculure and Technical Environmental Consultancy.

As a Consultant Ecologist your duties will be:
- Conducting ecological desk studies, preliminary ecological appraisals, bat roost assessments, phase 2 habitat surveys for bats, reptiles, amphibians, dormouse, water voles, invertebrates, and birds, and related ecological site works.
- Project management, including working with clients from different areas and giving best ecological advice and practice.
- Report writing for PEAs, PRAs, Phase 2 surveys and BNG assessments.
To be considered for the Consultant Ecologist position, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant area, such as Ecology, Biology or Zoology
- Proven experience within ecological consultancy, including report writing skills
- Protected species licences are desirable
- Willingness to complete field surveys and travel to different sites
- A full valid UK/EEC driving licence and your own car
