Bus and Coach Trainer

They are dedicated to making a positive impact through education and training. They are seeking a motivated and passionate Trainer to join the team, specializing in the Bus and Coach - Level 3 Engineering apprenticeship. The ideal candidate is flexible, confident, and an excellent communicator.

Role Overview:

As a Trainer, you will coach, mentor, tutor, and assess students, guiding them to develop the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for their apprenticeship. You will deliver engaging teaching sessions both in the classroom and workshop settings, conduct mock assessments, and ensure apprentices are prepared for their end point assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Mentoring: Conduct teaching sessions in classroom and workshop environments, providing coaching and mentoring to apprentices.
  • Learner Management: Maintain and manage a caseload of learners, ensuring regular interventions and progress reviews.
  • Assessment and Documentation: Capture and record evidence for learning achievements, funding, and Ofsted requirements. Ensure learners meet their 20% off-the-job training requirements.
  • Employer Engagement: Collaborate with employers to support apprentices' learning and progression, building strong relationships and providing regular progress updates.
  • Functional Skills Delivery: Embed and teach English and Maths (and ICT where applicable) to help learners achieve required functional skills levels.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with Internal Quality Assurers (IQA) to maintain best practices and provide necessary documentation and reports.
  • Resource Development: Contribute to the creation of high-quality learning materials and ensure accurate and timely reporting based on KPIs.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Essential:

  • Relevant occupational sector experience and qualifications (Level 3 or higher).
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, effective coaching and engaging, interactive teaching sessions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong planning skills and ability to meet KPIs and strategic goals.

Desirable:

  • Coaching or Teaching qualification (AET/CertEd/CTTLS/DTTLS).
  • Knowledge of Government-funded training.
  • Assessor qualifications (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or D32/33).

This role is Monday to Friday, full time hours and permanent. The role will be based in West London.
