Impression Recruitment are delighted to be working with a client based in Harrogate in their search for a
Homes Interior Merchandiser
to join their friendly and welcoming team in Harrogate. As part of the role you'll assist the Head of Merchandising in the implementation of their commercial strategy, focusing on maximising revenue and profit whilst ensuring the product range aligns with their customer profiles and business goals. You'll also use your experience and expertise to assist with SKU and category forecasting, product allocation and analysis, as well as overseeing space planning for optimal engagement and attraction.
Key duties of Homes Interior Merchandiser:
- Develop and refine sales product management in order to produce sales forecasts for SKUs & categories.
- Review product portfolios to maximise product performance, sales and market exposure.
- Oversee weekly sales and stock intake plans to optimise availability to align to business needs.
- Enhance product and category success by monitoring demand, markdown, stock, intake and returns effectively.
- Actively monitor best selling and poor performing products, reacting and making recommendations where necessary to stimulate sales.
- Assist marketing on SKU and category priorities in campaigns ensuring stock is available.
- Analyse category and SKU performance seasonally to boost product performance, sales and proposition development.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain team to manage potential risks to the commercial strategy.
- Keep an eye on competitor's websites and market trends to improve offering.
Skills / qualities required:
- Experience working in a Merchandising role, preferably within the retail sector.
- Proven success in driving demand, maximising sales, and managing profit margin.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with different teams.
- Positive, tenacious attitude to achieve results.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and strong inventory management techniques.
- Experience using Netsuite or PowerBI (preferable).
In return the successful
Homes Interior Merchandiser
can expect to receive a salary of £28,000 - £40,000 per annum, working a 9 day fortnight (every other Friday as paid day off) on a
hybrid model
