Robert Half are currently partnering with a thriving, fast paced organisation based in North Somerset. We are seeking a talented SME Financial Controller to lead the finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including the preparation of management accounts, financial reporting, and transactional finance. As the head of a small, dedicated team, you will play a crucial part in driving the financial strategy and ensuring the continued growth and success to the business.
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
Duration: 12-month FTC
Start date: September 2024
Hybrid working: 5 days on site per week
Location: Portishead
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Manage a small team
- Execute month-end closing activities (journal entries, adjustments)
- Prepare, review, and analyse profit and loss statements and balance sheets
- Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and forecasts
- Overseeing the management of the purchase ledger and undertake monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
- Dealing with ad-hoc statutory and compliance matters as required
