Job Purpose

  • Lead a role split 70% audit and 30% accounts, working closely with senior staff to support a variety of clients.
  • Support audit engagements from planning to completion, including some field work.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts, as well as reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff.
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations.
  • Build trusted client relationships as their main point of contact, proactively handling queries.
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
  • Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities.
  • Oversee junior team members and provide audit training during assignments.

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified with preferably a minimum of 3 years' practice experience.
  • Study support can be provided where needed for the right candidate.
  • Experience leading audits from planning to completion.
  • Adept at the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • A hands-on team player who can also work autonomously.
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
  • Good awareness of current affairs and solid commercial acumen.
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver.
  • Car owner and full driving licence
