Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a large two-form entry primary school in Runcorn as they are looking to recruit a passionate and reliable teaching assistant to support the EYFS and KS1 classes. This is a long-term temporary full-time position starting from September.
Your new role
In your new role within this school you will be joining and experienced and welcoming team of educational professionals. You will be supporting across the EYFS and KS1 classes, helping the teachers promote an engaging, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. You will support your new students on a 1:1 and small group basis, offering phonics sessions and assessments across all EYFS and KS1 classes. You will also offer intervention and booster sessions in all core subjects.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working with children and young people between the ages of 4 - 7 in the last 2 years, as well as:
- A strong understanding of the EYFS and/or KS1 national curriculum
- The ability to take a person-centred approach to education
- Previously experience delivering phonics
