Operations Manager

We are seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Operations Manager to join a well-established and extremely respected manufacturing, installation, and servicing business, who have a history of growth and development. This hands-on role requires a dynamic individual to manage the daily operations and teams, ensuring operational excellence and enhanced customer service.
Day to day of the role:
- Oversee the daily operations of the business and lead the operational teams.
- Attend management meetings to present operations updates, including KPIs and any strategic decisions.
- Drive improvements in operational performance and customer service.
- Enhance labour efficiency, recovery, and performance reporting.
- Identify and necessary team and individual training.
- Support the MD in increasing revenue and margins while ensuring strict cost control.
- Ensure Health & Safety is a priority and that HR best practices are adopted.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a visible and experienced manager.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead from the front and control performance.
- Ability to introduce and maintain strict performance standards while supporting a strong team ethos.
- Proficient in producing monthly management information on performance and KPIs.
- Good interpersonal skills to collaborate with other senior management.
- Essential experience in operations and service/product delivery teams.
- Desirable knowledge/experience in inventory control best practices.
- Capability to develop comprehensive job descriptions for the team and a skills matrix to identify training needs.
- Experience with a dealer/distributor model is ideal.
- Some level of experience in the pressure vessel or liquid movement and distribution manufacturing industries would be extremely beneficial.

Please also be aware that regardless of academic achievements, this position requires significant time in a similar senior position, so would not suit recent graduates.
