My client, a leading financial services institution, is currently seeking a Customer Adviser to join their dynamic team based in Edinburgh. With a long-standing reputation for providing exceptional banking services, my client is dedicated to supporting both individual and business customers through innovative financial solutions. Role Overview:
As a Customer Adviser, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to customers, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. You will play a critical role in building strong customer relationships, handling everyday transactions, and identifying potential opportunities to refer customers to the appropriate services or products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide accurate, friendly, and professional service during customer interactions, handling enquiries and cashiering duties effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Establish strong customer relationships to enhance loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Lead Generation: Identify sales opportunities and refer leads to colleagues to ensure lead generation targets are achieved.
  • Customer Support: Investigate and resolve straightforward customer enquiries or complaints within agreed service standards.
  • Referral Management: Recognise when a customer's request requires specialist advice and refer them to the appropriate team or colleague.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to team objectives by supporting workload management and ensuring customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers.
  • Ability to handle routine processes with accuracy and efficiency.
  • A proactive attitude towards identifying opportunities and solving customer queries.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or retail banking environment is desirable but not essential.
