A ranked specialist city firm are looking for a Private Wealth Solicitor to join their team in London.
This London based boutique private client law firm are well-known in the private wealth arena for all-round expertise and structuring private wealth around the world. The firm focuses exclusively on the issues (both contentious and non contentious) which affect wealthy individuals, family offices, trustees and professional practices in the UK and overseas. The firm's clients come from all over the world, who's assets include interests in both listed and privately-owned companies, real estate, race horses, works of art, yachts and planes and investment portfolios of significant value.
The Private Wealth team advises individuals, families, trustees, beneficiaries, private banks and trust companies on a wide range of private wealth matters. The team advise on estate and succession planning to protect and preserve assets ranging from privately owned companies, real estate and liquid assets to racehorses, yachts, planes and art, with particular experience of high-profile and high-value probates which frequently have cross-jurisdictional features. The team help individuals and attorneys with Lasting Powers of Attorney and if necessary, Court of Protection applications. In addition they provide international clients with advice on pre-arrival planning and on exit strategies, and wealthy individuals and trustees with advice on UK taxation, particularly the treatment of non-UK domiciled individuals. Trustees and beneficiaries also come to the team for advice on forms of trust structures, both onshore and offshore.
The successful candidate will be advising clients such as those mentioned above on a range of private client matters, gaining excellent exposure and experience to top-level work, working alongside some of the most prominent experts in their fields.
To be successful in your application, you will:
- Be a qualified solicitor
- Have previous experience within the private wealth of a ranked firm in London.
- Ideally, have experience working with international clients.
- Be able to coordinate workloads in close liaison with the other fee
earners in the team.
- Be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, good time management, an energetic and proactive approach and confidence in their ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
- Have good client handling skills and be able to quickly establish client relationships over the telephone.
