Sales Director / Product Director - Transition to Managing Director

Location: South Yorkshire

Reporting to: CEO

Compensation: £80k - £85k + Car + Bonus + Benefits + LTIP

We are seeking a motivated and seasoned professional to assume the role of Managing Director for our client. This opportunity is ideal for a Director poised to elevate their career by leading a company. The chosen candidate will drive growth, manage all operational aspects both locally and internationally, engage with the global business network, and sustain the company's market dominance. Experience in a senior leadership role driving growth within a "component" service/solution business is essential. This is a transitional role into the Managing Director role, and comprehensive support will be provided as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market expansion.
  • Set and pursue both long-term and short-term goals aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Provide visionary leadership and establish strategic direction for the company.
  • Optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and financial stability.
  • Develop and refine reporting tools for effective performance monitoring.
  • Oversee budgeting processes to ensure sound financial management.
  • Utilize market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and customer needs.
  • Inspire and mentor a high-performing team to achieve company goals.
  • Supervise executives and managers, providing leadership and motivation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry experts and enhance the company's public profile through networking and external engagements.
  • Manage all aspects of the business in the UK and globally, fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven success in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in a "component" production/solution environment.
  • Strong strategic marketing and growth skills, with experience engaging new and existing clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and market expansion through strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, business development, and business networking.
  • Proven ability to manage complex business environments.
