Russell Taylor Group have a brilliant new opportunity for a General Manager/Director to oversee a material testing service business in Herefordshire. The role has come about due to the current General Manager moving to another area of the business.
The ideal candidate will come from a technical background (iso 17025) and must have had exposure to NADCAP as the company are working towards gaining NADCAP accreditation.
The Role
- The main purpose of this position is to drive the business forward and take responsibility for the day-to-day laboratory services supplied both internally and externally.
- To take ownership of the revenue goals.
- To grow the external revenue.
- Overall responsibility and authority for the technical operation of the laboratory.
- Implementation of the Quality System.
- Maintaining and improving services to internal and external customers.
The Person
- Previous experience with NADCAP/metallurgy/materials
- Experience of managing - this site cover 35 employees
- Experience of commercial and financial P&L
- Previous experience of ISO 17025
- Previous experience of formulating business strategy
- Entrepreneurial flair and creative approach to business
- Ability to communicate with various levels of stakeholders.
- Demonstrates assertiveness, determination, and perseverance
- Enthusiastic and able to enthuse others.
- Loyal and reliable with a friendly personality
