Risk & Compliance Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Compliance Manager to join us on a full-time permanent basis. Leading the Risk & Compliance team, you'll play a fundamental role in supporting the UK and Irish businesses in meeting our obligations with regards to Compliance Management, Enterprise Risk Management and Crisis Management.

Your New Role

  • Leads the National Risk & Compliance team and is responsible for the ongoing development of direct reports.
  • Supports the development, implementation, operation and monitoring of International Compliance systems, with a special focus on ensuring National business needs are met.
  • Supports the fulfilment of National Top Management's duties in National Compliance matters in line with International Compliance governance.
  • Supports with the following National topics, including acting as a point of contact for the relevant regulators:

- UK -Groceries Supply Code of Practice (GSCOP)

- Ireland – Agricultural & Food Supply Chain Unfair Trading Regulations (UTP)

  • Acts as a Risk & Compliance expert providing advice and support for various stakeholders across the business as necessary.
  • Coordinates the development and delivery of Compliance related training and guidance material.
  • Ensures the necessary safeguards are in place, including the monitoring and updating of risk and compliance policies.
  • Promotes and embeds effective and efficient risk and compliance management process as part of the way ALDI does business.
  • Oversees the management of the ALDI AlertLine whistleblowing platform.
  • Engages with a network of departmental Enterprise Risk Management business leads to support in business wide risk assessments.
  • Supports on the international development of Enterprise Risk Management, including the development and piloting of a new tool.
  • Supports the development, operation, updating and monitoring of the National Crisis Response Framework.

About You

  • Leading and developing a team of subject matter experts.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Demonstrable experience of advising on projects, developing policies and training, driving compliance and efficiencies through implementing solutions successfully.
  • Passion for driving the business forward in the areas of Risk and Compliance.
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team, exercise leadership and influence change.
  • Adept at building and maintaining collaborative working relationships.
  • Able to manage a demanding workload to be able to deliver on time and to the highest quality.
  • Works in a structured and methodical manner to meet deadlines and exercise sound judgment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.

  • Starting salary from £61,065 rising to £94,240
  • Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working.
