Role: Procurement Specialist

Type: Contract 3 months (potential to extend)

Salary: £450pd Umbrella Inside IR35 (Negotiable)

Hybrid: One day a week on-site

Location: Surrey

Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist for our Public Sector client.

Key responsibilities for the Procurement Specialist are;

  • cultivate enduring connections with both vendors and internal stakeholders
  • serve as new suppliers' initial point of contact, make sure they're all adhering to the Council's procurement procedure guidelines, and assist in the establishment of new contracting standing orders
  • Completing compliant bids from beginning to end
  • Making direct awards.

The Ideal candidate for the Procurement Specialist will have;

  • A track record of demonstrating proficiency with PCR2015
  • Proficiency in overseeing tenders in an obedient manner (Open, Restricted processes)
  • Knowledge of utilising frameworks (CCS and other public sector frameworks) for mini competitions
  • Experience with e-sourcing portals
  • familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in a procurement team across indirect procurement categories, such as working on public vehicle upgrades or private hire taxi services; prior experience procuring services or working across a council
  • outstanding interpersonal skills with suppliers and stakeholders
  • outstanding organisational abilities
  • Capacity to oversee multiple projects at once and handle a heavy workload; strong time management abilities; MCIPS-qualified or pursuing MCIPS certification; prior experience with in-tend.
