Merchandising Assistant

Reed are working with an ambitious ecommerce brand during an exciting time of growth, recruiting for the position of Merchandising Assistant and looking for an enthusiastic, commercially astute and proactive individual to join the team on a permanent full time basis.

Office based role with hybrid working available, working hours of Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (a little flexibility available)

Salary £28,000 - £30,000 - negotiable dependant on experience, plus fantastic benefits, hybrid working, development and progression opportunities, and more.

This is a key role within the Merchandising team, supporting the Merchandiser in all reporting, forecasting and ordering of inventory throughout the business

  • Support during the ordering process, core and seasonal
  • Weekly sales and stock reports (WSS), and supporting the merchandiser with monthly reports
  • Assisting merchandiser on end of season sale analysis
  • Product analysis
  • Management of Critical Path
  • Support with stock allocation throughout the business
  • Assisting Merchandiser with line level product forecasting
  • Producing data and reports to the board of directors
  • Liaising with Marketing and Product Development teams to ensure all correct products are pushed at the correct times
  • Other tasks as required

Travel will be required in the role to meet suppliers- UK based as well as some international travel- all expenses will be paid for

  • Existing experience in Merchandising/Buying - at least 1-2 years
  • Data Analysis and use of Microsoft Excel
  • Use of BrightPearl would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Strong reporting skills
  • Excellent eye for detail and accuracy
  • Professional and confidential
  • Excellent Organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Strong communication at all levels, able to liaise with suppliers and internal teams, influencing and negotiating as required
  • Able to research market and competitor trends to forward plan and make sound decisions
  • Inquisitive nature and thinks outside the box
  • Commercial awareness
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills
  • Understanding of critical path management
  • Driving licence required to get to the office location and to meetings etc
