Domestic Abuse Team Manager

Join our team as a Domestic Abuse Team Manager and make a positive difference in the lives of survivors. Lead a dedicated team, provide, support and implement strategies to combat abuse and help create a safer community.

The Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Workers and Team Manager are part of the Children, Young People and Learning Directorate. These roles identify, assess, and assist victim-survivors of domestic and sexual violence and abuse, in order to increase their safety and the safety of their families.

Salary: £45,441 to £48,474 per annum, (pro rata £22,720 to £24,237)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2025.

Working Pattern: Part-time (18.50 hours per week)

Location: Worthing (Hybrid and Flexible Working)

Interview Date: w/c 8th July 2024

You will be required to travel countrywide and will need to be able to travel independently around the county.

All employees have a WSCC location as their contractual work location, however we do operate a 'Smarter working' approach, agreed locally with your manager.

The Opportunity

We're looking for someone passionate about working with victims-survivors and their families, building relationships and who will manage the day-to-day operation of the service.

In this role, you will lead, supervise and have oversight of a team that provides direct intervention to victim-survivors and their families.

You will work with partner organisations to ensure victim-survivors receive the advice, information, and support that they require.

With a focus on continuous improvement, you will lead and work in a multi-agency way, keeping clients and children central to all coordinated responses and holding those causing harm to account.

We are looking for someone with proven leadership skills, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a desire to use these in influencing colleagues, partners and decision-makers, driving forward the 'Children First' Improvement Plan.
