Advantage Resourcing is working in partnership with a large engineering company that operates within the aerospace industry and is currently seeking an experienced Technical Author who will analyse the content of repair and production drawings, technical notes, and other source data.
What will you be doing:
- Analyse vendor data and in-service reports
- Identify any impact on customer needs as a result of this information
- Provide answers to customer queries
- Provide relevant data to meet customer maintenance and operational needs
- Ensure that all information is communicated in line with the business policies, processes, and procedures
- Work with others to ensure effective service to customers
- Refer complex or airworthiness issues and queries to the correct areas
- Plan own tasks to meet customer needs
- Provide feedback on customer needs
- Represent the department at decision-making meetings trans-nationally
- Provide Network/subcontract management to deliver tasks to Time/Cost /Quality
- Support key strategic projects & initiatives
A couple of things you should know:
- Previous experience in authoring, verification & validation in Technical Data Manuals specifically IPC
- Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance, repair, and production processes and procedures
- Practical experience of engineering/aircraft maintenance advantageous
- Project management capability and willingness to get involved
