We have a fabulous opportunity with an award-winning, Lexcel accredited Coventry city centre law firm for a Private Client Paralegal/Fee Earner with Wills and Probate case handling experience.

The job will involve:

Managing a varied caseload of private client matters, under supervision including:

Wills and Probate
-
Administration of Estates
-
Lasting Powers of Attorney
-
Inheritance Tax Planning and Trusts
-
Court of Protection and Deputyship
-
Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorneys
-
Drafting wills, probate applications and applications to the Court of Protection
-
Assisting in the preparation of estate and distribution accounts
-
Preparing bills and processing financial information
-
File management using a legal case management system
-
Attending client meetings
-
Dealing with vulnerable and bereaved clients in a sympathetic and professional manner
Suitable candidates will have:
- Experience of running (or assisting with running) a private client caseload
- Experience of court of protection work (desirable but not essential)
- Experience of dealing with wills and probate matters and LPA's
- The ability to work well using your own initiative, and as part of a team
- Excellent client care skills including the ability to demonstrate an understanding of clients' needs and expectations
- Good time-management and organisational skills
This is a full-time permanent job working 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday. The role is currently office-based, however the opportunity for home-working part of the week may be considered, going forward.
