Database Application Developer Hybrid - 3 Days On-Site in Stoke-on-Trent p/w Flexible Hours - Can do 8-4, 8:30-4:30, 9-5 £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits (incl. Life Assurance)
We are seeking an experienced Database Application Developer to join an industry leading organisation in Stoke that provides products, services and technology to businesses across the country. This unique opportunity offers a hybrid work arrangement, flexible start/finish times and a benefits package including life assurance (plus a salary of up to £45k).
As a Database Applications Developer, you will be responsible for defining, developing, testing and deploying software programs and applications as required to support business operations. You will also support IT service functions, analyse and amend software errors promptly and accurately, and provide status reports.
In your first few weeks in this Oracle Database Developer role, you can expect to:
- Undertake systems and software analysis, design, development and implementation
- Undertake database logical and physical design activities related to the IFS ERP software
- Conceptualise and develop new applications to support new initiatives
- Plan and adhere to phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Prepare and document software requirements and specifications
- Document developed applications and collaborate on handover to the Service Desk
To apply for this Database Applications Developer role, you will ideally have five years of experience as an applications / software developer, in addition to;
- Experience with ERP Platform Development (IFS ERP a bonus!)
- Knowledge of ERP related document outputs
- Database Management: Predominantly Oracle, but also SQL Server, T-SQL, PL/SQL
- Data Integration Expertise
- SDLC tools (Gitlab, Jira)
